"How we handle your information."

Who we are
Velazquez McDonnell Interiors is an interior design studio operating in Ireland. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018, we are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy at [email protected].
What we collect, and why
When you submit our contact form, we collect the name, email address, project type, and message you provide. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry and discuss your project. Our lawful basis is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services. We do not use your details for marketing without your separate consent, and we never sell your information or share it with third parties for their own purposes.
How it is processed
Form submissions are delivered to our studio email by Formspree, our form processing provider, which acts as a data processor on our behalf and handles submissions under its GDPR data processing terms. Formspree may process data on servers outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards set out in those terms. This website is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical connection data (such as IP addresses) transiently to deliver and secure the site.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not lead to an engagement, we delete it within 12 months. If you become a client, correspondence and records connected to your project are retained for the duration of the project and for up to 7 years afterwards, as required by Irish Revenue record-keeping rules.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. We measure site traffic with a privacy-preserving, cookie-free analytics service that records aggregate visits only and cannot identify you. A single browser session value is used to avoid replaying the opening animation within one visit; it contains no personal information and expires when you close your browser.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you, object to or ask us to restrict its processing, request a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Email us and we will act on your request within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
